Jeff Beck les paul custom

This is a must-have for the collectors and Beck afficionados out there. This is a pre-owned Jeff Beck ’54 Les Paul that has been aged to look exactly like the original, and has been signed, numbered, and played by Beck himself.

The Gibson Custom Shop Jeff Beck Signature is a detailed recreation of a modified 1954 Les Paul that Beck had purchased while browsing at a guitar shop in Memphis, TN. The guitar was seen on the album cover of his legendary record Blow by Blow. Before coming into his possession, the original gold finish was stripped off for a chocolate-brown color, the P-90s were replaced with humbuckers, the neck profile was made slightly thinner, and the tuners were switched for modern replacements.

This instrument is in mint, collectors’ grade condition with not much play time on it if any at all. All dings, scratches, and marks look original to how the guitar appeared when it left the Custom Shop. The slimmer 50s rounded neck profile is very comfortable, and the raised pole pieces on the bridge humbucker gives it that midrangey Beck tone. This is number 26 of a limited edition run of only 50 aged instruments, and includes the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.

Jeff Beck Les Paul

‘Rock And Roll Party To Honor Les Paul,’ Jeff Beck’s Concert Tribute To The Iconic Guitarist Recorded This Summer At The Iridium Jazz Club In New York City.

Jeff Beck paid fitting tribute to Les Paul last summer, celebrating what would have been the pioneering guitarist’s 95th birthday by playing his friend and mentor’s music, along with classic tunes from the era, in the same Times Square nightclub that Les Paul played every Monday for 14 years, before his death in August 2009.

Sponsored by Gibson Guitar and billed as ‘A Celebration of Les Paul,’ Jeff Beck was joined by The Imelda May Band at the Iridium Jazz Club on June 9th, 2010. The two-time Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inductee mesmerized the star-studded audience with a tour de force performance of classics that Paul recorded with Mary Ford, ‘How High The Moon,’ ‘Vaya Con Dios’ and ‘Mockin’ Bird Hill,’ along with such rock and roll standards as ‘Twenty Flight Rock’ and ‘Walking In The Sand.’

Following this release, Beck will take the ‘Rock And Roll Party’ on the road for a short U.S. tour. Beck will once again be backed by The Imelda May Band and its enchanting singer, Imelda May, who joined Beck on stage at the 2010 Grammy® Awards for a spot-on rendition of Paul’s ‘How High The Moon.’

PBS will give fans a first look at a unique edition of this performance with the premiere of ‘Jeff Beck Honors Les Paul,’ a concert special that captures the first night of ‘The Celebration to Honor Les Paul,’ which was recorded on June 9, 2010, what would have been Les Paul’s 95th birthday. Special guest performers included Troy ‘Trombone Shorty’ Andrews, Gary U.S. Bonds and Brian Setzer, who traded riffs with Beck on Eddie Cochran’s rockabilly classic ‘Twenty Flight Rock.’

Tribute Series Jeff Beck Esquire

Fender Jeff Beck Tribute Series Limited Custom Shop Relic Esquire.

Jeff Beck Esquire Review

Jeff Beck was one of the defining guitar players on the English 1960s and 1970s scene and is one of the forefathers of the future instrumental rock and metal and shred. Jeff is famous for playing with his fingers, instead of the pickguard, which gives him a very special and instantly recognizable tone. Over the decades, Jeff has played a multitude of guitars, but has always returned to his favorites, Fender. Limited Edition Jeff Beck Tribute Esquire is a small series model dedicated to both Jeff Beck and legendary Esquire guitar. It comes with heavily worn White Blond paint on the ash body. Classic Telecaster bridge is installed on the top and it is fronted with a single-coil pickup in the bridge position. Maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 21-fret maple fingerboard.
