Jeff Beck Jeff Beck Guitar shop

Beck took a few years off from releasing solo albums after the musically controversial FLASH but returned to what he did best with 1989’s GUITAR SHOP. Instead of continuing the pop experiments of its predecessor, GUITAR SHOP features such tough, rocking, and unpredictable guitar-driven tracks as the album-opening “Guitar Shop,” “Big Block,” and “Sling Shot.” But Beck can also play it tender, as evidenced by the haunting melancholia of “Where Were You.” Principally recorded at The Sol Studio, London, England. Personnel: Jeff Beck (guitar); Terry Bozzio (vocals, drums, percussion); Tony Hymas (keyboards, synthesizer). Producers: Jeff Beck, Terry Bozzio, Tony Hymas, Leif Mases.
